Laverty Park is open from dawn to dusk. During the winter months, no snow removal is done at Laverty Park.

Acquisition
The land for the original Laverty Park was comprised of two non-contiguous parcels of land. In 1978, a parcel was acquired by court order. In 1995, a parcel containing 4.5 acres was transferred to the Anderson Township Green Space efforts.
Description
This 10.5 acre park is comprised of wooded terrain, a playground, a small basketball court with one hoop, a small ball diamond and a generous amount of open space to run and play.
